Diego are a five-piece, Mark on vocals and guitar with guitar, keys, bass and drums behind him. Each of them has a career in other bands, and between them they have toured with Pink, played with Biffy Clyro and Amy MacDonald, and headlined the Barrowlands, the SECC and the AECC. That is where they learned to get a whole room moving.
On the night, getting a room moving starts with watching it. The set runs from Motown, Queen and Springsteen through to Dua Lipa and Gerry Cinnamon, and they play to whatever the floor is enjoying rather than sticking to a plan, with plenty of banter between songs to keep everyone in on it. Before long they are pulling people up to join them, and on past nights that has meant a dance-off, a father of the bride singing to his daughter, a guest who never performs up on guitar and a bridesmaid on the drums. What people say afterwards is that nobody wanted to sit down. One couple's guests "couldn't sit down for longer than a few seconds because they wanted to dance to the next one", and another couple's "89 year old grandparents didn't leave the dance floor all night".
Six decades. One dancefloor.
Diego are amazing! We hired them to play for our wedding at Wedderlie House on July 4th. From the first song onwards, the dancefloor was packed! The band is amazing and Mark is a great frontman with tonnes of charisma, who really brings the energy. They were also fantastic to deal with in terms of the lead-up to the event, and were able to fulfill all our requests- they learned to play our first dance song and they also learned Stone Cold Steve Austin's entrance theme for us! We cannot recommend them highly enough! Thanks again for helping to make our wedding such a great day!
So pleased we booked Diego. They came over for a quick chat to run through how they usually go through the night, which was a great touch. Then it was party time from start to finish. Great crowd interaction and put their own spin on the songs too, which was great. All our guests had a ball. Can't thank the guys enough!!
Cannot praise and thank the guys enough. Made our special day even more special. Learnt our first dance song, let my father in law sing to create a special moment between him and my new wife and of course kept the party going all night long.
